As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you'll own the client journey, from discovery to design to sale, creating functional, beautiful, and budget-smart solutions. You'll collaborate across teams, measure in the field, produce accurate drawings, and ensure orders are perfect before they're placed. You'll work primarily from our Nashua showroom, with occasional travel to Salem and local job sites.

Responsibilities

• Consult with homeowners to design and sell complete solutions: cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, hardware, and (when requested) cabinet installation.
• Build deep product knowledge across all lines; guide clients to value-driven choices.
• Perform accurate job-site measurements; create as-builts, floor plans, and elevations.
• Prepare clear quotes/proposals, follow up diligently, and close sales.
• Generate detailed cabinet orders and submit to our Order Facilitator (you retain final accuracy responsibility).
• Maintain post-sale communication to ensure client satisfaction and timely resolution of any issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams and trade partners as needed.
• Keep meticulous records in Microsoft Office and our internal systems.
• Uphold Blackdog quality, brand standards, and client experience at every step.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of kitchen & bath design experience.
• Proficiency in 2020 Design or Revit BIM.
• Ability to produce as-builts, detailed floor plans, and elevations.
• Working knowledge of cabinetry pricing to achieve target profit margins.
• Sharp attention to detail from concept through completion.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; strong written, verbal, and visual communication.
• Reliable transportation and a good driving record for local site visits.
• Ability to work a Tuesday to Saturday schedule.
• Willingness to undergo a background check (post-offer, consistent with law).
• NKBA Certification a plus.
• Experience with Chief Architect.
• Familiarity partnering with local contractors/developers.

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 Employee, Tuesday to Saturday, 8-hour shifts
• Hourly + Commission: $22.00 to $28.00/hour based on experience, plus commission on sales.
